The primary responsibility of a business development manager is to meet the sales and revenue targets of the organization. The role would be responsible to expand the customer base in different geographical locations based on the organization growth plans. The goal is to drive sustainable financial growth through boosting sales and forging strong relationships with clients. The role will be the face of the company to drive revenue growth and will have the dedication to create and apply an effective sales strategy.
Responsibilities
Develop a growth strategy focused both on financial gain and customer satisfaction
Conduct research to identify new markets and customer needs
Arrange business meetings with prospective clients
Promote the company s products/services addressing or predicting clients objectives
Prepare sales contracts ensuring adherence to law-established rules and guidelines
Keep records of sales, revenue, invoices etc.
Provide trustworthy feedback and after-sales support
Build long-term relationships with new and existing customers
Develop entry level staff into valuable salespeople
Competencies and Skills Required
Must possess strong client handling and negotiation skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication with US/UK clients.
Must be able to create good presentations and convince potential clients
Must have excellent interpersonal skills and good analytical skills
Being proactive to achieve team goals and good leadership skills
Must be detail oriented and an active listener
Ability to work under pressure and confidence to take up ambitious goals.
Eligibility Criteria
MBA Marketing graduates are preferred but not a constraint for the right candidate.
At least 4 to 9 years of experience as a senior business development executive or managerial position of a sales team in the IT Services industry.
Experience handling US/UK customers and proficiency in US/UK accent is required. Proven working experience as a business development manager, sales executive or a relevant role
Proven sales track record in the previous role.
Experience in MS Office, CRM software (e.g. Salesforce) and other marketing tools.
Experience in conducting meetings and closing sales deals with US/UK clients
Business and market awareness about the latest trends in the industry.
Communication negotiation skills along with the ability to build rapport with foreign clients.
Good team management skills with desirable leadership qualities
Time management and planning skills.
