Job Description
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Associate IT System Administrator to support our growing IT infrastructure with 6 months to 1 year of hands-on experience preferaby from IT Industry.
You will work closely with senior staff to ensure system uptime, manage physical hardware assets, handle user access, and maintain a secure IT environment.
Key Responsibilities
Identity Credential Management (Microsoft 365 )
Handle user provisioning and deprovisioning (onboarding/offboarding) in Microsoft 365
Process password resets, MFA setups, and access permission requests following internal security standards.
Manage distribution lists, security groups, and shared mailboxes.
Asset Management Inventory
Tag, log, and audit hardware assets (laptops, desktops, servers, network equipment) using IT Asset Management (ITAM) tools.
Prepare and image new workstations for incoming employees and manage hardware returns.
Server System Operations
Assist with basic maintenance, patching, and routine health checks for physical and virtual servers.
Monitor disk usage, review system event logs, and ensure OS updates are applied regularly.
Network Infrastructure Support
Assist in managing basic network hardware (switches, routers, access points).
Handle fundamental networking tasks, including IP allocation (DHCP/DNS), patch cable management, and local Wi-Fi/VPN troubleshooting.
System Monitoring Security
Monitor server performance, network uptime, and resource usage using tools like PRTG, Zabbix, or Nagios flag potential issues.
Assist in monitoring automated system backups and performing test restores.
Ensure endpoint antivirus/EDR software is active and up to date on all user devices.
Technical Escalation Support
Provide tier-1/2 technical support for hardware, software, and network issues.
Maintain accurate documentation for IT processes, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and hardware inventories.
Qualifications Requirements
Experience 6 months to 1 year of practical experience in an IT support, helpdesk, or junior system admin role.
Education Bachelor s degree, Diploma, or certifications in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Core Skills
Practical exposure to Microsoft 365 Admin Center
Fundamental understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, VLANs).
Familiarity with Windows 10/11, Windows Server OS, and basic Active Directory / Group Policy tasks.
Basic knowledge of hardware troubleshooting and ITAM software.
Soft Skills Strong problem-solving abilities, high attention to detail, and good written and verbal communication skills.
