Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Embedded Firmware Lead to join our medical device development team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in developing firmware for Class 2/3 medical devices and a passion for creating innovative solutions that improve patient care.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and mentor a team of embedded firmware engineers.
Define firmware requirements, specifications, and architectures.
Develop and implement firmware solutions for Class 2/3 medical devices.
Ensure compliance with medical device regulations (e.g., FDA, IEC 62304).
Collaborate with hardware, software, and systems engineering teams to ensure seamless integration.
Collaborate with Cloud and Mobile App teams for remote monitoring
Test and debug firmware to identify and resolve issues.
Participate in design reviews and code walkthroughs.
Document firmware development processes and procedures.
Stay updated on the latest trends and technologies in embedded firmware development.
Required Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
Minimum 5 years of experience in embedded firmware development for medical devices with class2/3.
Strong programming skills in languages such as C, C .
Experience with medical device regulations and standards (e.g., IEC 62304, FDA).
Knowledge of embedded systems hardware and architectures.
Knowledge of real-time operating systems (RTOS).
Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
Ability to lead and mentor a team of engineers.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Masters degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
Experience with wireless communication protocols (e.g., Bluetooth, Wi-Fi).
Experience with medical device certification processes.
