OB TITLE SALES MANAGER REPORTS TO REGIONAL BUSINESS MANAGER JOB PURPOSE
Meet revenue targets, with receivables always less than 30 days Ensure adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) in sales process
DIMENSIONS
Meet minimum revenue of 2 lakhs own sales and through outlets Achieve 1 lakh additional sales for every sales engineer (SE) under management
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
To ensure total compliance with SOP on sales process To build, train, and motivate a strong branch sales team To appoint OUTLETS to generate leads to meet or exceed the set targets To conduct demos to generate leads To meet monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue targets and grow sales year on year To hold receivables to less than 30 days To meet monthly collection targets without fail To forecast sales accurately To always work to increase speed of working capital cycle To manage critical banking relationships To close key accounts To provide details without fail for each weekly meeting To meet high ethical standards in line with company culture, and ensure reporting SE s do the same
EXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATIONS
6-8 years of sales experience. Candidates with experience in direct selling are preferred. 2-4 years of managerial experience. Candidates that have grown from sales executive level to sales
manager level are preferred. Preferred candidates come from the following industries Solar, Telecom, Paints, Building Materials,
Photocopiers, Fertilizer, Insurance Proven track-record of meeting revenue / collection targets at branch level Able and willing to generate own sales in addition to sales through team Strong understanding of working capital cycle and how to improve it MBA is preferred Willing to travel extensively in sales territory, at least 20 (every) days per month Strong team player, able to build and motivate a sales team A go-getter, who can take initiative and work independently Energetic, enthusiastic, innovative Excellent communication and presentation skills
