Job Description

Describe the key areas of the job. Indicate end results not duties or activities. Taking rounds in the preparatory,Ring frames, SEW during start of the shift.. Ensuring sufficient back stuff is available in each process. Responsible for planning and balancing of machinery on daily basis to meet Log requirement and according to Spg Mgrs instruction. Ensuring required empties are available in each process. Check for the doff stock level at the beginning of the shift. Allocate the labour to run required machines to meet the logistics plan and as advised by Spg Mgr. For any labour shortage,empties shortage liase with previous and next process executives and take instructions from Spg Mgr to manage the situation on day to day basis. Arranging for count changes as advised by Spg Mgr to meet log plan. Checking the machine after count change for correct pinions,proper identification . And settings as per the standard condition cards.. Checking the quality after changes with QAD and clear the machine for production and ensure the machine restarting at the earliest possible time. Checking all the quality records with QAD. Doing the machinery audit in the allocated machines. Following the standard conditions. Conducting monthly pep talks on Safety with the permanent workers and the contract workers under his domain and ensure safe working methods. Maintaining the waste records for generation and re-use the re-usable waste after proper accounting and maintain the percentage of adding usable waste as per standard. Allocate the contract workers and ensure adequate knowledge of work and safety consciousness is imparted before employing him. Communicating the follow up to the next shift executive orally and through log book. Maintain good house keeping. Deal with the absenteeism and take actions as per standing orders and to counsel the chronic workers to maintain the absenteeism below 8 . Ensuring idle spindles below the target of 0.15 Implement and maintain Waste management system to reduce the waste level in each dept. Ensure uninterrupted running of machinery in all the dept. Take regular rounds to check for the performance of each machinery and for the work practices like idles and machine stoppages. Ensure proper identification of materials in each stage as per standard and communicate to workers in case of changes. Responsible for the efficiency of each machine and all workers. In case of any breakdown arrange for rectifications and restart at the earliest. When there is a major break down which cannot be corrected in the shifts need to communicate to maint executive through Log Book and to next shift executives. Follow up of trials and communicate to workers and next dept suitably. Analyse the shifts production and report to Spinning manager for details of Break downs , changes and any other losses Responsible to maintain records of the machine stoppages in their respective shifts and the efficiency of each worker in his area. Dealing the low production and low performing workers as per standing orders and follow them for improvement. Helping for fire evacuation practice in the respective department once in a month to create safety awareness to the employees. Conducting pep talk on quality , production and quality complaints to all workers in his area of responsibility. Communicating and following up of the special conditions for specific products. Communicating and following up of the implemantation of any condition change or any work method changes. Identifying and Communicating the rougue machines , spindles , workers to maintenance and Spg Mgr and report on the follow up after rectification. Conducting pep talks on Safety with the permanent workers and the contract workers under his purview and ensure safe working methods. Implement and maintain Waste management system to reduce the waste level in all areas.. Follow up of sourced Yarn receipt, arrange for testing, Clearance Twisting Follow up of ISO systems, Six Sigma Projects and 5 S Monitoring Recording RH in inside the department Taking action against action slip form QAD
