Optical Engineer

Ability to generate optical systems and components specification from system-level performance requirements. Support setting up a design methodology integrating optical and mechanical design activities and using advanced simulation tools and processes selection. Provide accurate and detailed requirements documentation for procurement and fabrication of optical components. Provide accurate test requirements and support design/ verification of test fixtures. Interface with Opto-mechanical and CAD designers to define tooling, optical mounting, and human interface requirements based on predicted worst-case optical tolerances. Lead, develop and maintain Optical Metrology for Intraocular Lenses. Lead or support Optical designs and participate in new product development and product improvement projects. Support the development of new optic designs for intraocular lens products. Evaluate safety, efficiency and effectiveness of medical devices and provide modeling support where needed
