Welcome customers as they approach the deli counter
Greet all visitors and customers in a professional manner
Maintain courteous and friendly attitude toward customers
Prepare deli food items according to customers instructions
Upheld shelves and maintain cases filled at all times
Control freshness by rotating and coding all products and remove out-of-code merchandise
Tag all products legibly in line with price book
Maintain fresh items and weekly specials
Promote latest items and weekly specials
Clean and sanitized the entire work area
Ask for specific orders and punch in the orders in the database or cash register
Perform cutting and slicing activities
Package food as per customers instructions
Prepare food platters and plates for large deli orders
Package and weigh pre-packaged items for the customers
Check received deli products for accuracy and freshness
Maintain inventory of stored deli items
Open cartons and display items appropriately
Maintain appropriate knowledge of deli recipes and pre-packaged food items
Maintain back-stock areas appropriately
Ensure that quality standards are being met
Clean and maintain counters and work areas
Change oil in fryers on a constant basis and clean grease traps
Ensure that disposable nets, gloves and sanitary supplies are in stock at all times
