Position Senior Electrical Design Engineer
As a Senior Electrical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for leading, designing, developing, and implementing
advanced electrical systems and controls solutions for industrial and manufacturing environments. The position demands
a high level of technical proficiency, leadership, and collaboration to ensure the timely and cost-effective delivery
of engineering projects aligned with customer and company standards.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and supervise electrical and controls engineering project teams.
Design, develop, and test PLC programs for industrial automation equipment.
Create detailed electrical schematics, panel layouts, and P IDs using AutoCAD Electrical and E-Plan.
Manage project schedules, budgets, and deliverables to meet customer expectations.
Coordinate with mechanical, software, and assembly departments to ensure seamless project execution.
Conduct design reviews, risk assessments, and technical documentation for each project stage.
Develop controls architecture for industrial systems, including motion control, hydraulics, pneumatics, and safety devices.
Ensure compliance with applicable codes and standards (OSHA, UL, CE, ISO, etc.).
Guide and mentor junior engineers and enforce company design standards.
Collaborate with vendors and clients to develop technical solutions and ensure timely project delivery.
Support installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting of electrical systems at domestic and international sites.
Skills Competencies
Expertise in PLC programming (AB CompactLogix, GuardLogix, PanelView, FactoryTalk ME/SE).
Proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical and E-Plan for drafting and electrical design.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Excellent leadership and project management abilities.
Ability to manage multiple projects within tight deadlines and budget constraints.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with diverse teams and clients.
Proficiency in SCADA system development and network integration.
Ability to create and manage Bills of Materials (BOM) and procurement lists.
Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Educational Professional Requirements
Bachelor s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Communication Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering,
or Control Systems Engineering (B.E/B.Tech).
8 15 years of relevant experience in electrical design, PLC programming, and controls engineering.
Preferred certifications PLC Programming, Control Systems, or Project Management (PMP).
Work Environment Conditions
Work Schedule 6 days per week
Work Location Chennai
On-Site Requirement 75 (Domestic International travel for site visits, commissioning, and troubleshooting)
Compensation
1,00,000 2,50,000 per month, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
