Role responsibilities
1. Identify high impact NPD (New Product Development) with Long Term revenue generation.
2. New Joint Venture/Joint Development, Collaboration Opportunities exploration and short listing
after thorough study for NPD, Innovations, Digital Technology Solutions.
3. Study Industry s best practices, methodology, technology, equipment s implementation, its
impact, pros and cons. In addition, shall be responsible to keep updated self of all relevant new
technologies, products/processes and material that are being newly introduced.
4. Do thorough multiple trials, quality check, crash test, certifications, etc. before introducing the
product to market and make sure product is fool proof with zero failure.
5. Research on Intellectual property and patenting for Technology and print solutions.
6. Do the competitors mapping and analysis.
7. Continuously scan the market and related industry trends. Also evaluateour standing vis--vis
our competitors.
8. Analyse the internal and external customer expectations.
9. Develop ways for brand value propositions.
10. Communicate and liaison with the internal and external customers and engage with them to
know their needs, satisfaction with our products and services and expectations.
11. Build roadmaps for effective project execution with scenario planning based on market
dynamics.
12. Collaborate with the Finance, HR, Strategy, Production, SCM, Marketing departments, Software.
development team to understand the pulse of the market, availability of internal resources and
moreover to have integrated viewpoint for delivery and effective execution of projects.
13. Come out with innovative ideas to continuously maintain the new product pipeline. Doing so,
check on the feasibility aspect (how its going to make a business impact).
14. Research on journals, literature, magazines, internet on printing, packaging, and related events
15. Value re-engineering of existing products to improve quality and reduce cost.
16. Execute design development projects of new products in coordination with the cross-
functional team.
17. Look at bridging gaps between product and market needs.
18. Manage development activities for both current and new products to strict commercialization
schedules.
19. Oversee technology transfer activities from the development group or from vendors to
manufacturing.20. Identify criticalities/challenges in the project and implement corrective actions.
21. Establish milestones and monitor adherence to master plans and schedules, identify program
problems and obtains solutions, such as allocation of resources.
22. Identify new technology, Products, manufacturing, assess the feasibility and prepare the solution
by coordinating with internal development or external development team.
23. Develop new Solution based on technology or Partner with technology provide and drive project
/ Product end to end for POC, implementation in collaboration with cross functional department.
24. Work with Product stakeholders to identify product requirements, collect technical inputs and
shape the solutions.
25. Identify obtain required certifications for developing products by coordinating with internal /
external entities.
26. Scout for required equipments to automate the manufacturing process and Analyse trends,
identify growth areas, perform feasibility study and quantifying opportunities for new products
development.
