Job description To monitor and execute vendor development activities related to tensioner development project and allied activities Duties and Responsibilities Development of New Vendors for New Component of Casting/ Forging / Injection moulding / Stamping / Sintering / Machining / Over-mold Seal/Spring Parts related to Belt Drives System Periodic follow up with Vendors for sourcing of Material/ components from Vendors Materials Management Planning Scheduling and Inventory Management etc Work on Materials Cost Reduction Materials Planning Reviewing optimizing the capacity at Vendors end to reduce Inventory PPAP for new parts development and TS procedures Identifying and developing potential vendors for achieving cost effective purchases of materials reduction in prices timely delivery Monitoring of BOM Cost of New/ Existing Product initiate measures to optimize the same Workout on the Cost Reduction Plans to ensure Cost Benchmarking Assessing performance of the vendors vendor rating based on various criterions such as percentage for rejections quality improvement timely delivery credit terms etc Promote Innovations at Vendor s End to ensure Productive Use of resources Improving supplier performance management Ensuring supplier compliance for key regulations standards Establishing continuous improving across the function driven through adopting best practice Lean
