Job Summary
The IT Hardware and Networking Engineer will be responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of IT hardware and network systems. This role requires a strong understanding of network protocols, hardware components, and IT security practices to ensure a reliable and efficient IT environment.

Key Responsibilities
Hardware Installation Maintenance
Install, configure, and maintain servers, desktops, laptops, printers, and other hardware.
Perform regular hardware diagnostics and preventive maintenance.
Manage hardware inventory and procure replacement parts as needed.
Networking
Design, implement, and manage network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and access points.
Monitor network performance and resolve connectivity issues.
Ensure network security through proper configuration and management of firewalls and other security measures.
Troubleshooting Support
Provide technical support to end-users for hardware and networking issues.
Diagnose and resolve hardware failures, network outages, and other IT-related problems.
Document and track support requests, ensuring timely resolution.
Configuration Management
Configure and maintain network settings, including IP addresses, VLANs, and VPNs.
Ensure proper integration of hardware with existing systems and applications.
Manage and monitor server performance and capacity.
Security Compliance
Implement and enforce security policies and procedures to protect IT infrastructure.
Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments.
Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies to maintain a secure and efficient IT environment.
Qualifications
Proven experience in IT hardware and networking roles.
Strong knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP) and hardware components.
Experience with network configuration, management, and troubleshooting.
Familiarity with firewalls, VPNs, and other security technologies.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
Strong communication skills and the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A , Network , Cisco CCNA) are a plus.
Preferred Skills
Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).
Knowledge of cloud services (e.g., AWS, Azure) and hybrid cloud environments.
Experience with scripting or automation tools (e.g., PowerShell, Bash) is advantageous.
