COUNSELLOR

We are looking for a counsellor to employ in Childline 1098 (24/7 emergency and community program to assist children in need of protection). Start date immediate Location Tiruvannamalai, Tamil Nadu, India Full-time (shifts) Responsibilities and Duties - Giving counselling to children in emergency situations - Collaborating and coordinating with local government, local committees, local partners and volunteers in Tiruvannamalai district - Collaborating and coordinating with other team members and program coordinator - Manual reports and official documentation - Awareness program activities in communities and schools. Required Experience, Skills and Qualifications - Bachelor/master degree (Social Works, Psychology) - Minimum experience in counselling 6 months - Preferable experience in working with children and children s rights - Driving skills in possession of a vehicle - Ability to handle emergencies and conflicts - Mother-tongue knowledge of Tamil - Preferable good knowledge of English - Keen interest in working with children.
