Roles Responsibilities Understands the delivery plan for engineering projects and undertakes planning for necessary resources at the project site. Ensures the construction is in line with the approved design and is as per specification Interacts with the clients and implements design/ structural change requests under authorization of GM Operations and GM Commercial and communicates the final approved changes to the site engineers Ensures continuous implementation of standard operating processes (SOPs), quality parameters and systems through use of necessary tools and systems. Prepares the project budgets for manpower, production consumables, fuel, capital expenditure, maintenance, spares. Ensures preparation and implementation of preventive maintenance schedule for plants, machinery and tools at the project sites to ensure best upkeep at all times Continuously implements internal procedures and audits to ensure proper utilization of all assets and consumables at the project sites and institutes processes to eliminate pilferage and wastage Institutes internal controls to conserve energy and prevent wastage or pilferage Ensures strict discipline at the project sites to ensure regular attendance and punctuality of employees and deployment of adequate contractual workforce Ensures a daily schedule of cleaning to ensure appropriate standards of hygiene and cleanliness at the project site. Ensures implementation of appropriate controls in adherence to safety regulations, statutory norms and best practices towards maintaining the project site as zero-accident zones. Monitors security arrangements not only to prevent pilferage but to preempt any security risk for men, assets and materials at the project site. Achieves targets in compliance of quality and safety standards as per set timelines to ensure delivery as per project commitment through optimum usage of resources Maintains accurate management information systems pertaining to utilization of all resources, contractual manpower deployment, WIP and project completion status. Builds an energetic and high performance team for achieving the desired targets and ensures team morale and enthusiasm are maintained in spite of the pressures of the job. Fosters regular skill development by encouraging team members to attend functional and behavioral training and prepares development action plan for them. Ensures implementation of all statutory norms pertaining to deployment of contractual manpower Monitors industrial relations climate towards ensuring zero disruption and optimum efficiencies in contractual labour deployment through morale building exercises. Drives process improvements and cost control measures in all activities. Monitors inventory control to issue optimum orders and maintain optimum stock levels in the stores. Monitors the site accountant and sanctions on-site expenses to ensure overhead and out of pocket expenses are minimum Conducts regular site inspection of entire site to monitor site conditions, take immediate corrective actions if any and makes accurate and timely billing as and when work is completed towards optimizing cash flows. Develops strong relationships with key customers to help the Business Development team achieve retention of customers and grow the business as well as the brand and help the client service team realize dues promptly. Manages external groups approaching the project sites with miscellaneous requests and demands and escalates to GM Operations if appropriate
