Drafting patent applications and defensive publications Analyzing inventions to identify inventive concept Conducting patentability analysis from search report Technical analysis of references to address patent office rejections/objections Skills required Strong technical background in the domain with excellent academics Excellent writing skills ability to write without grammatical errors Good IT skills, including proficiency with MS Office suite Thorough knowledge in patent searches and patentability concepts Should have knowledge and search experience with all free patent/NPL databases, in patentability search/analysis, invalidity search experience desirable Desirable Basic knowledge of Indian Patent Office procedures including provisional and complete specification filing, application formats. Ability to quickly create drawings either by hand or by computer would be an advantage. Experience in working with a law firm or with patent agents, in drafting patent applications.
